Looking for practical and dependable ISO-KF vacuum components?
Discover ISO-KF flanges, fittings, clamps, centering rings, and accessories designed for fast assembly, reliable sealing, and smooth integration into modern vacuum systems.
Introduction
ISO-KF vacuum components are among the most widely used standardized connections in vacuum technology. Also known as NW fittings, ISO-KF connections are commonly used in the low to high vacuum range and are valued for their compact size, quick assembly, and dependable sealing performance. Industry sources describe ISO-KF as a standard solution for many vacuum applications, with nominal sizes from DN 10 to DN 50, manufactured to ISO 2861 and DIN 28403.
Because of their simplicity and versatility, ISO-KF components are widely used in research laboratories, semiconductor-related equipment, analytical systems, coating processes, and industrial vacuum lines. Their main value lies in combining fast serviceability, cost-effective performance, and broad compatibility across a wide range of vacuum components.
At Anadolu Vacuum, we provide ISO-KF standard vacuum components for customers who need practical, reliable, and professionally manufactured solutions. Our focus is to support system builders and end users with quality components that help reduce assembly time, simplify maintenance, and deliver consistent vacuum performance.
What is the ISO-KF standard?
ISO-KF is a standardized small-flange vacuum connection system used for detachable vacuum joints. The connection is typically made with two mating flanges, a centering ring with O-ring, and a quick clamp. This design allows the system to be assembled and disassembled rapidly while maintaining a leak-tight seal. ISO-KF small flange components are described in DIN 28403 and ISO 2861, with nominal diameters from DN 10 to DN 50.
Edwards describes NW fittings, otherwise known as ISO-KF, as suitable for many low-to-high-vacuum applications and notes that their simple fastening method allows systems to be assembled easily and sealed quickly.
How ISO-KF differs from other common standards
- ISO-KF is ideal for compact vacuum lines, gauges, pumps, valves, forelines, and laboratory systems where quick installation and serviceability matter most.
- ISO-K is typically used for larger nominal sizes and uses claw clamps rather than quick clamps.
- ISO-F belongs to the same general ISO family but uses bolted flange connections for larger vacuum lines.
- CF is used where ultra-high vacuum and metal-sealed knife-edge connections are required, typically with copper gaskets.
